I Cracked It!

Okay for those who've read through my blog posts from a few years ago you'll note that I came dead last in a competition with my first ever manuscript. Admittedly it was horrid, just pure tripe that needed a fire to gut through it, but it was my first manuscript and I loved it. I placed dead last in the STALI competition (Single Title And Loving It) from the Romance Writers of Australia. I pity the judges who had to read it, but it taught me a few things. I especially loved the tip that one judge gave me that my voice was more suited to Young Adult than romance. She/he was right, oh soo right.
Anyway sorry to be blabbing on. I received notice this week that I am a finalist in this years STALI! No, I'm not kidding you. The competition that I stuffed up. I think I'm getting better at writing.

Congratulations Natalie. I love a good news story as much as a good read. Hoping the story finds a publisher, cover and shelf space in the shops. You deserve the reward and I’d like to read the story.
