2am

So we have the twinlings to thank for this wonderful time of the morning to be blogging and writing. I've just woken up to the sounds of stirring babies, given them their dummies and they've rolled over and are now snoring away. Do you think I can sleep? Oh no. So out comes the laptop, curled up in my darling son, 3yrs, bed, as he had already kicked me out of mine at 12am. I started writing a scene in my head. 1 hour later and 6,000 words already, it's only one little opening scene, but I think I might have found my voice. (yeah I say that everytime, then when I re-read it I go What the?).... It starts off describing a corpse floating amid the reeds which a carrion bird alights on then it explodes ..... yeah not much romance there I can tell you.

So I decided I'd quickly update this lovely little blog, and then get more sleep before the whole household wakes up.

and More Male Authors

So I would like to thank my friend Peta G for coming up with a list of more male authors we should have a looksy at... will put them on in a minute. low battery warning on the computer... darn.

Andy Griffiths, star novelist of my kids all time favourite "The Day My Bum Went Psycho!" and many other wonderful titles like "Bumaggedon".... just a great wit. ------------------------------------>

Anthony Horowitz - my teens favourite right now. The Alex Rider series... she thinks he's incredible.
<---------

Conn Iggulden - The Dangerous Book for Boys, and Lords of the Bow (Ghengis Khan) amongst others. ---->

(Oh I'm having fun right now)

Can you say BEEF CAKE? This is former SAS sergeant Chris Ryan, who's written "Blackout" and other great fast paced, save the day action books. (Bit of an old pic, but the deltoids and tricepus muscles, well had to put it in didn't I?)

Barry Eisler used to work for the CIA, is a black belt, a lawyer, owns his own company, and is author to several really fast paced action books as well (in his spare time). --------------------------------------------->

Here's a better picture of Barry, on the left, the guy on the right is J.A.Konrath.

Oh now this is sweet, Joe Abercrombie is a film producer, and in his spare time likes to write... The Blade Itself, and Before They Are Hanged.

Andy McNab is a former SAS member of Patrol Bravo Two Zero (look that one up girls). He's a dark and mysterious man, who now trains people to go into combat etc having set up his own company.
<------------

Vince Flynn writes Spy and Intrigue type novels such as "Executive Power", "Act of Treason" and "Protect and Defend". --------------------------->

And finally, but not least, here's Andrew Gross, "The Blue Zone" is one of his novels, he also works with James Patterson. Not bad hey?

Well that's it for now for this little list. I think it's great to find out more about these authors and see what they have come up with. Besides now you've seen what they look like it's easier to read them, right? Yeah, okay my hubby tells me that it's not really for research, that I'm just perving... but I've said "No, seriously, if I'm going write a novel with an author as the protagonist well I need inspiration"..... I don't think he believed me... darn...
